My name is Ada Blair. I am an experienced counsellor/psychotherapist who has lived in Edinburgh for over 20 years and worked in a variety of health, social care and higher education settings.
I have been practising as a counsellor/psychotherapist since 1996. Much of my work has been with those who have felt marginalised or excluded from society in some way, for example people with mental health problems, affected by HIV/AIDS, living with disability or long-term conditions, from black and minority ethnic communities, lone parents, etc.
I have a particular interest in working with people experiencing crisis, pain and failure and who are seeking “the next step”. This may be as a result of relationship breakdown, bereavement, trauma, loss of job, mental health difficulties, etc. I also have many years experience counselling students.
